Universities, the JD degree and assorted tips

There are a handful of Universities that offer a Juris Doctor degree in Australia. The best part is that you do not need to take and LSAT with the exception of one of them. The rest will allow a person in on the condition that they can demonstrate academic excellent. It means that you must have 3.0 GPA on a North American Grading scale or better to gain acceptance to law school in Australia. You will need two letters of recommendation, a well-written personal statement, a certified copy of your college/university transcripts and show proof of had completed your Bachelor's degree to gain as acceptance.

Also, graduate students in Australia are called post graduate. It means that you have already received a Bachelor's degree. When you hear or see the word lodged, it means that you have submitted your application to the school.

Universities in Australia often called Uni. It is Australian slang for University.

Now, the universities that offer a JD degree are as follows:

Australian National University

LSAT Requirement at only at one university
The only the university requires an LSAT is University of Melbourne. If you planning to attend there, I would advise getting 165 or better on the LSAT. The reason is it plays an important role there for getting a scholarship and admittance to the school.
